You will be picked up from your hotel and drive to the Aphrodisias, the ancient site named after the Greek Goddess Aphrodite. This city was built near a marble quarry and subsequently sculptures from here became famous through the Hellenistic and Roman periods. Eventually destroyed by numerous earthquakes, what remains of this famous city is an impressive stadium, Temple of Aphrodite, Sebasteion and Odeon. After lunch the tour continues to Pamukkale that has the meaning of the Cotton Castle in English. Once known as the city of Hierapolis, famous for its healing thermal and mineral baths, this ancient site houses a well preserved theatre and the largest necropolis of the ancient world.
